Je Cours
A kinetic short film on endurance, rhythm, and solitary motion
Through nocturnal streets and rain-soaked tracks, a runner moves through isolation, seeking freedom in cadence.
Je Cours ("I Run") is an intimate narrative short film directed by Maria Lückerath for She Says Cut. Set against the quiet nocturnal landscape of Brussels, the film explores breath, physical endurance, and internal velocity as a solitary runner navigates the city.
Available on YouTube and official festival screeners upon request.
“Je Cours began with a simple physical rhythm: breath against pavement. We wanted the movement of the runner and the movement of the camera to sync into a single heartbeat.”
Maria Lückerath, Brussels Studio
