Irreversible
A sensory poem on water memory and nocturnal soundscapes
Hydrophone recordings captured beneath the Senne river intertwine with Super 8 reflections of Brussels at dusk.
Irreversible is an acoustic and optical study of urban water dynamics. Combining underwater hydrophone audio with grainy Super 8 mm imagery, the film meditates on impermanence, industrial heritage, and the subterranean memory of rivers buried beneath modern cities.
Full spatial audio mix available for museum and gallery installations.
“With Irreversible, we listened before we filmed. Sound guided the edit.”
